However, in my standpoint, doing extra work and assignments is the best way to get a higher promotion and salary. First, the superior will see your efforts in a direct way when you work overtime so that they can clearly know that you are a hard working person. If you do extra things after your working time, then your boss will definitely give you extra money because you pay more energy and time than other employees. For example, my older sister Lisa is a hard working person. Although she is not very smart to finish her employer’s work in a perfect way, she will spend extra time on working and do extra assignments by herself. Now she earns much money than her co-workers and receives the award for Best Employee of The Year. Second, doing more extra work by yourself can increase your ability on working and enables your employer to see your improvement. Hence, they will give you a higher promotion because of your strong working ability. For example, my mom is really not good at working. She does not have a skillful ability to write a working report. Meanwhile, she is also not a multitasking and creative person. However, after doing extra works for several years, she becomes the manager of the company and she overcomes many people who are better than her in the past. Therefore, it can be inferred that doing extra work can enable you to have a comprehensive improvement and get a higher promotion. Third, there is often aggressive competition in a group, which makes it hard for you to stand out. If you really want to stand out from it, you should pay much more energy and you should also have a stronger working ability than others like organization skills, multitasking and so on. At the same time, participating in the group works will not improve yourself in a very sudden way too. To be more specific, you will have the division of work and everyone will do the work that they are good at, like presentation, working an essay and so on. Therefore, you will only have a little time on practising the thing that you are not good at. Due to you are not improving, your employer will not give you a higher promotion. The cultivation of children becomes more and more important now, and a lot of parents are thinking about if they should give money to their children weekly so that they can buy anything they want. It can let their children become more independent becomes the most important reason of why they are doing this. However, in my standpoint, giving children weekly money can cause bad ideas about money and foster bad habits either. First, a lot of people think this thing can let their children be more independent because they need to manage their money by themselves. But I think the effect will be in the contrary side because children will rely on their parents’ money and they will think that their parents should give them money. Therefore, when they grow up, there is a very high probability that they will become a Boomerang children. This is both bad for parents and their children. Therefore, my dad and my mom never give me weekly money for free. I need to give a feedback to them like doing housework, having a good grade and so on. As a result, giving children weekly money will let them be rely on their parents’ money. Second, if parents let their children buy anything they want, they may buy something not good like smoke, alcoholic drinks and a lot of video games because they are too small to know what things are good for them. Moreover, these things can break their mental and physical health and even let their grade come down. For example, there is a person who is in the same school with me when I was small. Her parents are very rich and are too busy to take care of her so that they give her a lot of weekly make up for her. But she used the money to buy a lot of luxuries and often went to the bar to drink alcoholic drinks and smoked there. The result is very easy to see that her grade is very low and she hardly goes to school now. Meanwhile, she also dyes her hair and often goes out to fight with other people. Therefore, this will cause bad habits for children because of the things they buy. All in all from what I have discussed about, letting children rely on their parents’ money, fostering bad habits are the reasons of why giving them weekly money is not a good decision.
